Why Are You Doing That?

Sometimes my eyes start hurting when walking around campus, and it is not because there is a very intense sunlight and I forgot my sunglasses at home. Yes, exactly, they did it again; wearing that cute little dress, makeup on, heels, shoulder purse and the main complement, a huge The North Face backpack worthy of the best mountain climbers. Would you please explain me why do you do that? Why are you doing that to yourself and the people who surround you?

I totally understand that there are times when you need to carry your laptop and a ton of books, and a shoulder bag has not enough space available. If that is the case and there is no way you can avoid to carry a backpack, then take your dear backpack with you but, please, do not wear a dress and heels that day. Before wearing a very nice outfit when carrying an enormous sport backpack, I would prefer to carry all my books between my hands while my face is getting as red as a pepper from all that weight.

So please, I nicely ask you to stop combining huge backpacks with dresses and heels; that is like adding mayonnaise to your morning bowl of cereals and milk; just something not nice to experience.

  2. and don't forget those who spend hours and hours on curling their hair and applying thick make-up, but then they wear baggy gym shorts and huge t-shirts with ugly flipflops...
